About Books for Children of The World

Books for Children of the World was organized in 1991 for a very special task—children. While millions of school books are burned, shredded, or thrown away each year in America, there are equally millions of children around the world who will never know the pure joy of having their own books Dedicated to reducing illiteracy among young people around the world, Books for Children of the World, through the mutual commitment of national textbook publishers, hundreds of local school districts and dedicated volunteers, has been able to send millions of books to these hungry minds. Books for Children of the World focuses on children because they are the best indicator of a community’s welfare. By decreasing illiteracy and increasing the intellectual well being of children, Books for Children of the World believes it can make a difference in the lives of many children.

Our Mission

Through the dontation of textbooks, Books for Children of the World is helping reduce illiteracy throughout the world, and is helping to increase a child’s hope for a better and brighter future.

What You Can Do to Help

Help Us Find Books

Call your local school district and tell them about Books for Children of the World. Give them our phone number and we will take it from there.

Help Us Ship Books

Books for Children of the World needs your support to continue to touch the minds of children around the world, and to broaden its campaign. Books for Children of the World has a large warehouse of over one million books to be shipped to children around the world. If we cannot get them to the children, then they are of little benefit.

Books for Children of the World brings help and hope to these children. A monthly commitment will help reduce illiteracy and give a textbook to a child. You will not only help improve the quality of life for a child, but their family, their community, and their entire nation.

Dear Sir:  I am a boy of 14 years of age. Please, the aim of writing to you is that you send books. When I go to school I do not have a storybook to read. I borrow from other people.
